Catholic Discipleship and Mentoring with Brother-to-Brother Ministries

Just what is it that we do through Brother-to-Brother Ministries?

We form men in Catholic discipleship and mentor men on their faith journeys and help them develop a deeper personal relationship with Jesus. We do this in the following ways:

  1. Bible Scripture study, verse memorization and applying biblical principles in our daily lives.
  2. Study of the Catholic Church Catechism and how to live out our Catholic faith as men of Jesus.
  3. One to one discipleship meetings and spiritual direction.

Living Out Our Baptismal Call

Written by Rick Lentz

As baptized Christians, we are called to profess our faith and share in the Church's mission of evangelization.1
Here are some examples of what recent popes have said about that mission:

Pope Paul VI states in Evangelii Nuntiandi, ".... the person who has been evangelized goes on to evangelize others. Here lies the test of truth, the touchstone of evangelization: it is unthinkable that a person should accept the Word and give himself to the kingdom without becoming a person who bears witness to it and proclaims it in his turn."2

An Effective Tool

Written by Terry Vice

I have been very pleased to be one of the men Rick Lentz is mentoring. He introduced me to an effective tool for our journey, The Catholic Topical Memory System by Rich Cleveland. www.emmausjourney.org

The intent of the book is to help the reader memorize scripture verses. These verses may then be used in the everyday evangelization situations we all find ourselves in from time to time.

Seize The Day Radio Interview

Written by Rick Lentz

On April 8, 2009, Gus Lloyd of The Catholic Channel's Seize the Day radio program interviewed Rick and Bob on Sirius-XM. Rick has received emails from The Catholic Channel listeners saying how Rick's and Bob's story brought them healing. It is amazing how God works to use one person's tragedy to heal others. Rick and Bob feel very privileged to have been on Gus Lloyd's program, and appreciate the opportunity that Gus and The Catholic Channel provided for the telling of their story of forgiveness.
Gus Lloyd again invited Rick and Bob to appear on Seize the Day on September 14, 2011. Due to a technical difficulty, Bob was not able to join the interview. Two men who heard this interview contacted Rick and asked him to mentor them. One man is in Florida and the other in California. We appreciate Gus providing us with opportunities to share our ministry on his program. We look forward to seeing Gus at the Rocky Mountain Catholic Men's Conference on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
